Studio Vertigo is an art and design collective based in the UK. It was founded by artists Lucy McDonnell and Stephen Newby to explore the relationship between objects, viewers and their environment. With the help of their multidisciplinary team, the studio creates light installations and unique sculptural pieces for the public realm.
Life can often make us blind to the objects and environments that we interact with. At Studio Vertigo we try to set up contradictions in form, material and scale, making unique work that can feel βout of placeβ or extraordinary. Sometimes if we step back and re-examine what we are experiencing, we can form a different connection with the world around us.
Studio Vertigo have realised numerous exhibitions around the world, including Seoul Light DDP, Amsterdam Light Festival, Taiwan Lantern Festival and Vivid Sydney.
